Fantasia Barrino has sound advice for auditioning Idol contestants: “Have fun. Stay prayed up.
And give it your all,” she tells PEOPLE. “Go out and just be yourself. Act like it’s your last time. Sing it.” Fantasia should know. She’s been getting raves opening for Oscar winner Jamie Foxx on his tour.
During her recent stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the The New York Times gushed she had a “fierce set of screaming R&B” and the New York Post gushed about her “passionate cover of Prince’s ‘Purple Rain.’ ” She also appears with Foxx in Orlando on Feb. 1 and Ft. Lauderdale on Feb. 2.
R.Kelly announces new album and goes back to the “Closet”
R.Kelly is going to be everywhere in the upcoming months.
After pairing with Snoop Dog on the top 10 rnb hit “That’s that”, the rnb crooner announced that his new album is due for late May 2007.
