Meet President Kelly. On Sunday night Lady Gaga and her new partner in crime R. Kelly took the stage at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles California to deliver the best and most elaborate performance of the soiree.

The duo sang their hit single “Do What U Want” which is lifted from her ARTPOP album out in stores now.

The flamboyant singer opened the piece which might have been inspired by Robert Kelly’s “Trapped In The Closet” series, sitting behind a desk pretending to be a secretary calling the president of the United States played by the iconic R&B producer/songwriter.

The “I Wish” artist sitting behind his fake Oval Office, picked up the phone and asked for his Italian aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta aka Lady Gaga.

From there on the pair delivered a compelling choreography which consisted of bumping and grinding on the faux office and delivering some fancy dance moves with the help of an army of performers.

Midway through the performance, the Chicagoan (who will drop his “Black Panties” album on December 10th) held his phone to the audience and asked: who put these photos on Instagram?

While being quizzed by a fake reporter about his affair with his assistant, President Kelly stormed off the stage saying that he never knew this girl.

The “Poker Face” singer ended the performance singing in front of a huge screen showing a younger version of herself playing the piano – it was her way of telling the world she is an artist who has been doing this music thing all her life.

Gaga and Kellz have been working on a visual for the sexy tune and according to Gaga it will be scandalous. She recently tweeted:

Many interviewers quelped today about my ‘SHOCKING’ performance w/ R Kelly on SNL I’m beginning to think y’all aren’t ready for the video

Take a look at the performance after the jump.
